Brian and I are producing CLOUD II, a limited edition (of 100) DVD of a new stereoscopic video which will be supplied with two pairs of red and cyan 3d glasses. There'll be ready at the end of next week and will be on sale at the alternative Christmas Art Market at Blank Studios and Gallery in Portslade, full details here. We'll also be selling them via this site once I've set up the necessary PayPal stuff.

I will be undertaking a residency at Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder in Trondheim, Norway during March 2009. Not exactly sure what I will be doing yet, plan is to go with a couple of video cameras and see what happens.

Around Photography, the Brighton Photo Fringe exhibition, opens at APEC this weekend (flyer with details at bottom of this screen). My projection won't be taking place on Saturday 1st November as I will be at South Hill Park in Bracknell, where Clouded is being screened as part of the Sound:Space symposium.

A more successful weekend of filming clouds. We got some great footage yesterday from either end of the fire escape at my studio, lots of cumulus floating past west to east. We watched a red-blue test edit this afternoon and it looks beautiful. We shot some more footage this morning down at Shoreham Harbour, with the cameras about 100 metres apart, the cloud was much thicker and greyer than yesterday, predominantly stratocumulus I think, it will be interesting to see how it looks in stereo. We also did a quick test with the cameras much nearer together and pointing out to sea, to see if we can catch the three dimensionality of the swell.

Brian was filming National Trust landmarks around the country last week, and I caught up with him at Corfe Castle in Dorset over the weekend to do some stereoscopic cloud filming. Unfortunately there wasn't a cloud to be seen for two days, apart from a few hours of thick mist on Sunday morning, so no stereo cloud filming actually took place. We both managed to get some test filming done for individual projects, and discussed some further collaborations, so at least we got something done.
One All, one of the video works made for Views From Here, has been selected by Another Roadside Attraction for their December PROJECT video screenings in Shoreditch. More details nearer the time.

We're holding a Brighton Photo Fringe exhibition at APEC, where we will all be showing work that relates to the photographic image in some way. I'm going to be projecting a series of photos taken on journeys in the USA in 2000 (California and Nevada) and 2001 (Minneapolis to San Francisco) in a holiday snap slide show with an implied road movie narrative.
